" Ronnie " was a friend to all and loved to share his time eating crabs with friends and his family. " Ronnie " was first married to " Suzanne Marie Chike ". She was born the daughter of " Stephen Joseph Chike " and " Mary Julia Hamerski Chike ". They had one child together, " Ronald 'Jay' Elmer Stubbs, Jr. ( 67 ) ", and were later divorced. " Ronnie " was then married second to " Dolly Ann Callahan " who was born the daughter of " Herman Dolly Callahan " and " Jean Redden Callahan ". Her birth date is currently unknown. They had one child together, " Brian Lee Stubbs ( 68 ) ", and were later divorced. " Ronnie " was then married third to " Sharon Brogley " who was born the daughter of " Leon Louis Brogley " and " Claudia Evva Ozman Brogley " on July 24, 1954 in Easton. " Ronnie " and Sharon resided in rural Greensboro and had 4 children together. " Maurice " served his country as a Radio Operator with the U.S. Coast Guard from 1952 thru 1956. He was employed by The DuPont Company located in Seaford, Delaware and retired as a supervisor after 36 years. " Maurice " and " Barbara " resided together in Greensboro, Maryland and they had 4 children together. " Barbara " was a 1951 graduate of Greensboro High School. She was a secretary for the North Caroline High School guidance department for 23 years retiring in 1993. " Sadly " ~ " Barbara Genevieve Breeding Porter " preceded her husband in passing away at the age of 74 on August 25, 2008 and was interred in the Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro, Maryland. He was raised on a dairy farm near Greensboro in Caroline County with his two older brothers, " Maurice ( 36 ) " and " Donald ( 37 ) ". He graduated from North Caroline High School in 1961 and from Goldey Beacom Business College in Wilmington, De. He then served in the Army Reserves and worked briefly for Agrico Chemical Company, covering territory in western Maryland and Pennsylvania. " Buck " was first married to " Peggy Altfather " with whom he had two children. She was born the daughter of Nevin Charles and Dolly Altfather. " Pfc. Nevin Charles Altfather ", " Peggy's " dad, was "Killed In Action" during World War II during the Battle of Kesternich, Germany. " Buck " and " Peggy " were later divorced. " Buck " was married second to " Nancy Conner Porter " whose parent's names, and dates are currently unknown. They moved to Salisbury, Maryland and " Buck " became a sales associate with Sherman & Associates Real Estate from 1967 to 1986 in Salisbury. In 1986 they moved to Trappe, Maryland while managing the Salisbury real estate franchise of O'Connor Piper and Flynn locally called Porter and Associates in Salisbury, Maryland. In 1989, they moved to a town near Salisbury, Mardela Springs, Maryland. During this time the real estate company franchise changed to Prudential, under the local name " Porter and Associates " - Prudential of Salisbury. He lived there until 1997, when he moved into Salisbury, proper. The company named changed one last time to Long and Foster, where he and his wife Nancy returned to real estate sales and moved away from management. As an associate broker " Buck " and his wife Nancy began working as a sales team for Long & Foster and became well known for their successful marketing of historic homes, farms and waterfront properties. He became a member of the Founders Club in 2003, selling over $15 million in properties. " Buck " and his wife were recognized as the top sales team in Salisbury's Long & Foster office in 2008. He moved his residence one last time, in 2002, to an antique log cabin in Tyaskin, Maryland. " Buck " served on the Maryland Association of Realtors Executive Committee from 1977 to 1980 and as president of the Maryland Association of Realtors in 1981. He became chairman of the Maryland Association of Realtors Professional Standards and Ethics Committee from 1983 through 1985 and continued to serve on the Public Standards & Ethics Committee for the Coastal Association of Realtors. " Buck " was also a cancer survivor. He was awarded the 2007 Spirit of Survivorship award from the Wellness Community of Delmarva, the organization he helped start years earlier. He was undergoing Chemotherapy at the time. Despite not being able to speak or even stand very well, he spoke of optimism to a packed banquet hall of nearly three-hundred cancer survivors, cancer fighters, and guests. " Sadly " ~ " Raymond 'Buck' Hursey Porter, Jr. ( 38 ) " preceded his wife in passing away at the age of 64 on April 6, 2008 at his home in Tyaskin with his family near. He was cremated. " Diane Sue Collison ( 57 ) " was born the 2nd child and 1st daughter of " Albert Roland Collison " and " Dorotha Lee Stubbs Collison ( 31 ) " on December 30, 1952 in Milford, Delaware. She grew up in Greensboro, Maryland and attended Greensboro Elementary, Riverside and North Caroline High Schools in Denton, Maryland. She then attended Chesapeake Community College in Wye Mills. " Diane " has been married twice.
She was married first to " Russell Stout Pickett " on November 6, 1971 in St. Luke's Methodist Church in Denton, Maryland. " Russ " was born the son of " John Earnest Pickett, Jr. " and " Emma Virginia Stout Pickett " on October 29, 1951 in Wilmington, Delaware. After their marriage they resided in Dover, Delaware.
" Diane " first worked as a clerk with the Delaware Motor Vehicle Division and then stayed at home to raise her two sons. She also worked part time with the Delaware Technical College (Terry Campus) as a secretary. After her children were of school age " Diane " started working full time with the Department of Public Instruction as a Secretary in Dover, Delaware from where she eventually retired. " Diane " and " Russ " were divorced on May 21, 1992 and are both living in rural Dover, Delaware. Both of their children were born in Kent General Hospital in Dover. " Russ " had two other children after this marriage: Kayla Grace Pickett and Kara Virginia Pickett. " Diane " was then married second to " Lee Sullenberger " who was born on October 2, 1958 the son of Gene Arnold and Mary Senior Sullenberger. Lee had two children previous to this marriage, Laura and Karen Sullenberger. " Great Sadness " came upon this family when " Diane's " son Chistopher Scott Pickett ( 100 ) passed away in his apartment in Baltimore, Maryland due to a heart attack on April 4, 2021 at the age of 45 years and 22 days. He was interred in the Old Drawyer's Cemetery, Odessa, Delaware next to his Grandfather " John Earnest Pickett, Jr. " " Diane " and " Lee " are both now retired and reside in rural Dover, Delaware. 101. She was married first to " David Alton Bradley " on September 2, 1977 in the methodist church in Greensboro, Maryland. He was born the son of Alton and Shirley Banning Bradley on November 7, 1953. After their marriage they resided near Federalsburg, Maryland. Together they had 1 child and are now divorced. " Karen " then was married second to " Bruce 'Joe Ben' Morris " on February 5, 1988 in Seaford, Delaware. Joe Ben was born the son of Lacey David and Evelyn Estelle Morgan Morris on May 8, 1948 in Milford, Delaware. After residing in Seaford, Delaware for many years they now reside in Smithfield, Virginia They have no children together and Joe Ben has children from a previous marriage. " Karen " was employed as a secretary and Joe Ben in automotive maintenance.

" Christy " is currently ( 2024 ) employed as the Dean of the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University. She and " George " resided in Eden, Maryland and have two children together. 106. " Chris " attended Fairview Elementary ( 1st - 3rd ), Towne Point Elementary ( 4th ), William Henry Middle School ( 5th - 6th ), Central Middle School ( 7th - 8th ) and graduated from Dover High School, Dover, Delaware in 1994. " Chris " became a " Volunteer Firefighter " when he joined the " Cheswold Volunteer Fire Company " in 1992 and served until 2003 ..... Soon after high school " Chris " joined the " 153rd Military Police Company " of the Delaware National Guard where he proudly served for 12 years. He was awarded numerous decorations and citations. His unit was activated into fulltime military service during " Operation Spring and Enduring Freedom " serving with his unit in Saudi Arabia from 2002 thru 2003.
After returning from his service in the " Iraq War " .....
" Chris ", which he didn't know at the time, suffered from having been born with " Autism ! " ..... as had his dad " Russ " and and nephew " Landon ( 125 ) " ..... As you may or may not know, Autism impacts how a person perceives and socializes with others, causing problems in social interaction and communication and tends to make you crawl into, to put in other words, youself ! ..... Most people with autism have basically only " 5 " people at a time during the life that they are close to Prior to his deployment his company went into training at Fort Dix, N.J. During training " Chris " broke his arm which required a metal plate to be inserted into his arm and also caused him not to be deployed with his company. After his company was already in Saudi Arabia " Chris " was later deployed alone ... He arrived in England and gave them his orders ... they, however, weren't notified that he was coming ... it took them " 2 " days to validate his orders while " Chris " slept in the waiting room ..... his deployment to his company to be delayed ..... He was then sent to the Army Base in Germany .... In Germany " Chris " had to wait " 3 " more days while he again slept in the waiting room ..... his deployment to his company to be delayed ..... He then was sent to join his company in Saudi Arabia ..... All the soldiers that were part of the 153rd actually worked two jobs a day ..... " Chris " worked 8 hours as a guard at the headquarters and then worked as a machine gun operator patroling the perimeter of the base ..... The things that " Chris " saw and had to do during this second job caused him to suffer from " Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ( P. T. S. D. ) " When " Chris " returned back home he didn't know, until later in life, that he was " Autistic " and didn't realize he was suffering from " ( P. T. S. D. ) " ..... This led him to eventually become an Alcoholic ..... He tried working multiple jobs and get on with his life but the alcohol eventually took over his life. He went to many " rehab's " but they all told him that his drinking was because his parent's didn't treat him right while he was growing up ..... " Chris " became very frustrated during his " Rehab's " noting to them that his parent's were great to him and not the reason he drank so much however they continued to insist that his parent's were to blame for his drinking which made him frustrated and angry with them ! Little did they know that the actual cause was his undiagnosed " Autism " combined with his undiagnosed " ( P. T. S. D. ) " " Chris " eventually became a homeless person and wandered the street's of Dover, Philadelphia and finally Baltimore ..... When he was homeless in Dover he avoided any help from his parent's not wanting to be a burdon on them ..... Being homeless and suffering from " Autism " led him to an extremely lonely life ..... After a few years while in Baltimore he was eventually provided a one bedroom apartment paid for due to his military service ..... The apartment not only finally gave him a roof over his head, but also gave him a sense of " selfworth " ! However no matter how much he reached out to his neighbors, to rid himself of the loneliness caused by autism, he only found people that were more willing to use him ..... and he continued a life of loneliness ..... During holidays " Chris " would come home to visit and stay with his Mom and Dad ..... But would always return to Baltimore ..... During COVID he stayed with his Mom until the COVID subsided and then went back to Baltimore .....
When he was about 20 years old ... for many years ... he enjoyed playing the part of " Santa Claus " for his family and extended family members ... he would come to their door and " surprise the children of the house with his visit " ... he would always give the " children a present " after he asked them what they wanted for Christmas ! He had multiple relationships during his lifetime however they never seemed to work out due to the fact that " Chris " would tell them that he never wanted children because he was afraid they would turn out to be like him ... he still didn't realize that he was " autistic " which caused him to think that way ... However " children " seemed to love being around him ! He worked in an online position and tried his best to " enjoy the city life " and continued to reside in his one-bedroom apartment in Baltimore, Maryland until he passed away. He was one of those few people that when someone met him they instantly liked him ..... even though he had led a personal troubled life ..... He was known to buy food for people and their families while in Baltimore that never paid him back ..... A year after he passed away his Dad met a man from " South Dakota " while attending a wedding in " Rochester, New York " that approached him and told him that when he was down all he had to do was get online ... find " Chris " online ... and somehow " Chris " was always able to make him laugh and forget about his problems ..... That was " Chris " ..... I was always so proud of the man that he was ..... " Chris " is missed by everyone who knew him ! " Christopher 'Chris' Scott Pickett ( 100 ) " went home to be with his heavenly Father on Easter Sunday April 4, 2021 at the age of 45 years and 22 days while alone in his home in Baltimore, Maryland. He was found by his Mom and Dad three days later on April 7, 2017 ..... He died of an apparent Heart Attack .....

He graduated from West Chester State University in West Chester, Pennsylvania in the spring of 2002 with a degree in teaching. In August, 2002 he started his teaching career at "Woodbridge High School" in Bridgeville, Delaware. In 2007 he accepted a teaching position at "Lake Forest High School" near Harrington, Delaware.
While teaching at Woodbridge " Ryan " met and became engaged to " Tara Buemi ". On July 15, 2006 they were married at the St. Michael the Archangel Church in Georgetown, Delaware. Tara was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Buemi. She is a 1998 graduate of Sussex Central High School in Georgetown and a 2002 graduate of the University of Delaware.
In 2007 " Ryan " accepted a teaching position at " Lake Forest High School " near Harrington, Delaware. After the birth of their son Landon (125) Tara became a stay-at-home Mom.
" Tara " returned to teaching in the fall of 2018 and also in 2018 " Ryan " accepted a teaching position at the Central Middle School in Dover, Delaware. " Ryan " and " Tara " reside in rural Lincoln, Delaware and they have two children together.
