The following list was created in the memory of those Maryland soldiers from Worcester County that gave their all to their State and Country during World War II. Soldier's of the armed forces, as well as Merchant Marines, are both included in this listing.I have created or found "online memorials" for these honored men and women using "Find A Grave". You will see a blue " Yes " behind their names and by clicking on the " Yes " you can see the memorial that either I or someone else has created for them.
On "many" of the online memorials you will see a small biography for each soldier which includes: parent's names, where they lived and where and how they actually died. If you see one without a bio and you have information on them please email me and I'll update their records.
Worcester County had a total of:
" 41 "
Soldiers and Sailors who "Gave Their All" during World War II
( I'm 99.9% sure all from Talbot County are included )
Also Please Note: The records show these men and women as either enlisting from the noted county, being from the noted county, or having some tie to that county. Therefore some of these soldiers may not necessarily be from the particular county noted.
If you know where any of these men or women are interred, have a picture or more information about them please let me know by sending me an "email - (by clicking here)" so that I can make an online memorial for them or add more information about them on their memorial. This is just a small way of making sure these Maryland soldiers and Merchant Marines that gave their all ARE REMEMBERED!!
Whether a soldier or sailor was " Killed In Action ", " Missing In Action ",
" Died of Wounds ", or even died in the " Line Of Duty " ......
They are all " HEROES " in my book and deserve all the recognition they can get !!
