( All weblinks within this document are "Blue" )
Last update of this page:Friday " June 12, 2026 "
( Annual update ongoing through " 2026 " and the Navy will be entered )
The following list was created in the memory of those New York State soldiers fron Lewis County that gave their all to their State and Country during World War II. Soldier's of the armed forces, as well as Merchant Marines, are both included in this listing.
I have created or found "online memorials" for these honored men using "Find A Grave". You will see a blue " Yes " behind their names and by clicking on the " Yes " you can see the memorial that either I or someone else has created for them.
On "many" of the online memorials you will see a small biography for each soldier which includes: parent's names, where they lived and where and how they actually died. If you see one without a bio and you have information on them please email me and I'll update their records.
If you know where any of these men are interred, have a picture or more information about them please let me know by sending me an "email - (by clicking here)" so that I can make an online memorial for them or add more information about them on their memorial. This is just a small way of making sure these New York soldiers and Merchant Marines that gave their all ARE REMEMBERED!!
" This Listing Is Still In Progress "
Currently only the Army and Army Air Force has been Completed !
Please Note: I've also included all the receipients of the " Medal Of Honor " from the State of New York. Those that received the "Medal Of Honor" have their names shown in " blue ".
If you want information on a particular soldier not yet on this list, reqardless of which county, Send me an email and I'll gladly research and include them as quickly as possible.
