 " Hodge " after the family immigrated from Lebanon to the Rochester, New York area in 1914 after the birth of their 2nd child and daughter " Alice " who was born in 1909 in Beirut, Lebanon. It is also currently unknown when or why " David " moved from France to Lebanon ( Possibly to reunite with his parents or family ? ). The original surname of " David " was possibly the surname of " Jebreal " which is an " Arabic " and " Hebrew " surname. Quite possibly, if his original surname was " Jebreal ", his parent's may have actually also been born in Lebanon and for some reason later moved to France where " David " was born ..... One of the possible links to the surname being " Jebreal " was that there was a " Pharis ( Ferris ) Jebreal " who resided in, and was married in, Rochester, New York on August 27, 1893 to a " Mary Eleas ". At the time of this marriage " Pharis Jebreal " was 22 years old which indicates he was born in 1871 and he was possibly the uncle of " David ". " Pharis Jebreal " could have been, if related to " David ", the reason that " David " immigrated to the Rochester, New York area since he would have had " Family " there ..... It is currently unknown the type of work " David " was involved with during his life. He is " believed " to have passed away around the year 1939 however it is currently unknown where he was interred ..... Also residing there in 1940 is : her daughter Alice and Ferris' children : Abraham ~ ( Age 13 ) Joseph ~ ( Age 11 ) Eva ~ ( Age 9 ) Marion ~ ( Age 7 ) Rosaline ~ ( Age 2 ) Also residing there in 1950 is : her daughter Alice and Ferris' children : Joseph ~ ( Age 20 - Working as a Delivery Driver ) Eva ~ ( Age 19 - Working as a Secretary ) Marion ~ ( Age 17 ) Rosaline ~ ( Age 12 ) " Mary Elias Hodge ", at the time of her passing, was residing at 14 Bambi Lane in Rochester. Sometime after " David " passed away his two grandson's, " Leo David Hodge, Jr. ( 11 ) " and " Ralph Hodge ( 14 ) ", moved in with their grandmom " Mary Elias Hodge " for a few years. " Mary Elias Hodge " passed away on May 30, 1971 at the age of 78 years and was interred in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Gates, Monroe County, New York.

" Leo " is noted as being employed as a " Pressman " in the " Lithographer Industry " and " Bertha " is again noted as being born in New York. " Bertha " is now also noted as raising their " 7 oldest children " :
They had " 2 other children " born in the late 1930's that should have shown up as part of their family in the above 1940 Census. However, for an unknown reason, they both are residing with " Edward & Anna Zaveck Uhl " at 39 Home Place Street, Rochester, New York. The two were " Leo David Hodge, Jr. ( 11 ) " who is shown as being 1 year and 10 months old and his younger sister " Myrtle Hodge ( 12 ) " who was 9 months old. " Bertha May Pratt Hodge " preceded her husband in passing away at the age of 43 years, 9 months, and 7 days on October 21, 1949 in Rochester, New York. She was interred in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, New York. In the 1950 Federal Census ( Recorded: on April 5, 1950 ) they are now shown residing in a home at 56 Mayberry Street, Rochester, New York. In the 1940 Federal Census ( Recorded : on April 6, 1940 ), which is the first census that " Leo, Jr. " is shown, he is noted as being 1 year and 10 months old ..... However, he is not residing with his parents ..... " Leo, Jr. " is residing with " Edward & Anna Zaveck Uhl " at 39 Home Place Street, Rochester, New York. His younger sister " Myrtle Hodge ( 12 ) " who was 9 months old is also residing at the " Uhl's " home as well in 1940. It's currently unknown why " Leo, Jr. " and " Myrtle " are not with their parents. Were the " Uhl's " friends or maybe related in some way ..... Possibly their mother " Bertha May Pratt Hodge ", who at this point had " 7 " other children and " 3 " of them were under the age of 5 years old, was ill or simply overwelmed ... That is unknown ... and " Leo, Jr. " never heard why. " Leo, Jr.'s " mother " Bertha May Pratt Hodge " passed away at the age of 43 years, 9 months, and 7 days on October 21, 1949 in Rochester, New York. She was interred in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, New York. In the 1950 Federal Census ( Recorded : on April 5, 1950 ) " Leo, Jr. " is now reunited with his family. " Leo, Jr. " was only " 16 Years Old " at the time of this marriage and therefore his Dad " Leo David Hodge, Sr. ( 2 ) " had to sign for him to get married. However unknown to " Leo, Jr. " ~ " Janet ", who was a good friend of one of his sisters, was already pregnant with another man's child at that time. It was noted by " Leo, Jr. " that after consumating their marriage on the night of their wedding that he went back to reside at his dad's house and " Janet Faye Stewart " went back and lived with her parents and they never resided with each other. After the birth of her child " Janet " named her " Dolores Hodge " and put on her birth certificate that
Then " Janet " tried legally in the court to get " Leo, Jr. " to pay child support. However " Leo, Jr's. " dad " Leo, Sr. ( 2 ) " hired a lawyer who proved that conception was prior to the marriage so therefore " Leo, Jr. " was indeed not her dad since it was also noted by " Janet " when interviewed by their lawyer that they did not consumate their marriage until after they were married on November 20, 1954. " Leo, Jr's. " noted that while they were in the court the judge " scolded " his dad

" Nancy Carol Bishop Hodge " preceded her husband in passing away at the age of 76 years, 9 months, and 15 days on August 31, 2017 at their home on Lyell Avenue, Rochester, New York. Her remains were cremated and her husband " Leo " keeps them in their home with him. After " Karen's " birth her first home was located on Meigs Street, Rochester, New York ....... She had her parent's to herself until the birth of her brother " David " on February 23, 1962. Prior to " David's " birth the family moved to Homedale Place, Rochester, New York. Her brother " Micheal's " first home was also on Homedale place. The family then moved to Cuba Place in Rochester which was the first home of her younger sister
The first job that " Karen " had was working at the Carvel Ice Cream store located on Mount Hope Avenue in Rochester. She was 16 years old at the time. She then worked at the Ponderosa Steak House as a waitress that was located on Chili Avenue and then at the Ramada Inn that was also on Chili Avenue and also as a waitress. " Karen " was first married to " Kevin Lynn Hanshaw " on July 7, 1979 in Rochester, New York. They had two children,
In March, 1999 " Karen " met and started a relationship with " Russell 'Russ' Stout Pickett " of Dover, Delaware.
On August 19, 2000 " Karen " and " Russ " were married in the Hall of the Cheswold Volunteer Fire Company, Cheswold, Delaware where " Russ " also serves as a Life Member. " Russ' " childhood friend " Judge Mark Buckworth " performed the ceremony. After their marriage they resided in " Russ' " home in rural Dover, Delaware which now is owned by them both ..... and they still currently reside there. " Russ " was born the 2nd and last child and 2nd son of John Earnest Pickett, Jr. and Emma Virginia Stout Pickett on October 29, 1951 in the Delaware Division Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. He was named after his maternal grandfather Russell Stout and as a child he was raised in Odessa, Delaware and was known as " Rusty ".
" Russ " was previouly married and had four children : " Christopher Scott, Ryan Mark, Kayla Grace, and Kara Virginia Pickett ". " Karen " and " Russ " are now both " retired " and together they have " 15 " grandchildren : " Kaylin ~ Samatha ~
