" Stubbs Family Members whose relationship is currently " unknown " :

William B. Stubbs Family :

William B. Stubbs was born in ca. 1816 in Delaware and first shows up in the 1840 census as residing in Murderkill Hundred, Kent County, Delaware.   The William Stubbs that shows up in the 1840 census could also have been the dad of William B. Stubbs who would have been about 24 years old at that time and William B. Stubbs is " possibly " the brother of Henry Stubbs (1).

William B. Stubbs and his family show up in the 1850 census ( recorded August 31, 1850 ) at the age of 34 and residing in Murderkill Hundred, Kent County, Delaware with his family and is noted as a farmer.

William married " Emily Lewis " on April 21, 1844 in Delaware.   She was born in ca. 1824 and is 26 years old and was possibly the daughter of Eirven and Mary Lewis who resided on the farm next to William in 1850.   Eirven was 64 years old at the time and had other children as well.   William and " Emily " are also shown as having " 3 " children in 1850:  William ( age 5 ), Drucilla ( age 2 ), and Susan ( age 1 ).   Also residing with them on the farm are Sarah Fiddleman ( age 59 ) and Alphonso Johnson ( age 14 ).

In the 1860 census ( recorded July 20, 1860 ) William and " Emily " are still shown as living on the same farm but now shown as having " 7 " children:  William ( age 15 ), Drucilla ( age 13 ), Susan ( age 11 ), Sarah E. ( age 9 ), Emma ( age 7 ), Annie ( age 3 ), and Eunity ( age 1 ).   Also residing with them on the farm is Peter Grey Stubbs ( age 15 ) and since he was listed last it would appear that he was not a child but a relative.

In the 1870 census ( recorded June 24, 1870 ) William and " Emily " are shown as having moved from the farm to Wyoming, Delaware and William is noted as being a Retail Merchant and " Emily " as a housekeeper.

They are now shown as having " 6 " children living with them.   William moved out on his own and Susan passed away at the age of 11:  Drucilla is now noted as Lucille ( age 21 ), Sarah E. is now noted at Sallie ( age 18 ), Emma ( age 16 ), Annie ( age 13 ), Eunity ( age 11 ), and Mollie ( age 5 ).   Also residing with them is Samuel Kittlewell noted as being a clerk in William's store.

" Emily " preceded her husband in passing away at the age of 55 on September 14, 1880 and was interred in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, Delaware.   William passed away at the age of 70 on March 26, 1886 and was interred with his wife.
