He married married " Mary Ann Cooper " on October 18, 1736 in Romsey, Hampshire, England. She was born in 1715 in Romsey, Hampshire, England. Her parent's names are currently unknown. John ( 1 ) preceded his wife in passing away at the age of 43 on October 24, 1748 in Dorchester, England. He was interred in Dorchester, England. His wife Mary Ann was pregnant at the time of his passing with their youngest son Thomas ( 7 ). After he emigrated he married " Elizabeth Ward " and they resided in Fallowfield, Washington County, Pennsylvania. It is unknown if they had any children. She was born on May 16, 1750 in Kent Island, Queen Anne's County, Maryland. The name of her parents is currently unknown. John ( 3 ) passed away at the age of 54 in 1794 and it is currently unknown if it was prior to or after the birth of his son William ( 15 ). It is also currently unknown where John ( 3 ) was interred. His wife " Aney " passed away in September, 1794, possibly due to childbirth problems, and it is also unknown where she was interred. Also residing with them are William G. Andrews ( age 12 ) and Mary Lane ( age 10 ). Henry ( 20 ) preceded his wife in passing away at the age of 57 on March 7, 1858 in Caroline County, Maryland. Where he was interred is currently unknown, however it could have been on his farm. In the 1860 census ( recorded on September 3, 1860 ) Henry's ( 20 ) son Levin ( 38 ) is now shown as being a 27 year old, single, and running that which was his dad's farm. Residing with him are his mother " Esther " ( age 67 ) , his sister Annie ( age 30 ) , his widowed sister Sarah Jane Meloney ( age 33 ) and her daughter Sarah " Louisa " Meloney ( age 8 ) . Also still residing with them is Mary Lane ( age 21 ) and a new " Farm Hand " John R. Fountain ( age 16 ) . In the 1870 census ( recorded on June 23, 1870 ) Levin ( 38 ) is now shown as being 37 years old, married, and still farming the same farm and his mother " Esther " ( age 76 ) is still residing with him and his new family. Esther passed away at the age of 81 on January 18, 1875 in Caroline County, Maryland. Where she was interred is also currently unknown. She and Henry ( 20 ) had " 3 " children together. 37. In the 1880 census ( recorded on June 25, 1880 ) they appear to be on the same farm however it now notes that it is near Harmony, Caroline County, Maryland. John ( 21 ) is noted as a 77 year old farmer and " Elizabeth " is noted as being a 70 year old and a housekeeper. Residing with them now are " 2 " of their sons, " 1 " daughter-in-law, and " 1 " grandson: John ( age 36 ) and Thomas ( age 29 ) who is married to Alida ( age 23 ) and they have a son named Olly E. ( age 4 months ) . Also residing with them is Mary E. Ross ( age 23 ) who is noted as a " Servant " and Robert Carmine ( age 14 ) who is noted as a " Farm Laborer ". Also in the 1880 census their 32 year old son Willis (48) is noted as residing on the farm right next door to his parents with his family: His wife Sallie ( age 31 ) , son Charles H. ( age 6 ) and daughter Martha E. ( age 3 months ) . John ( 21 ) preceded his wife in passing away at the age of 79 on September 22, 1883 in Caroline County, Maryland. Where he was interred is currently unknown. After her husbands passing " Elizabeth " moved in with her son Levin ( 44 ) and his family. He passed away on November 19, 1893 and he and Martha are both interred in the Friends Burial Ground, Preston, Maryland. They had six children; Anna Elizabeth, Charles H., William Penn, John Milton, Joseph A., & Mary Martha Willis.

In the 1860 census ( recorded on September 17, 1860 ) Levin ( 44 ) is 22 years old and was working on the farm of Aunt and Uncle " Madison Williams and Annie Williams ( 22 ) " in Caroline County, Maryland Once the Civil War had started Levin ( 44 ) left his families farm and joined the 1st Regiment of the Maryland Eastern Shore Infantry. The 1st Regiment of the Maryland Eastern Shore Infantry were involved in multiple duties during the war, including the Battle of Gettysburg. You can see there service during the war by " Clicking Here ". In the 1870 census ( recorded on July 12, 1870 ) Levin ( 44 ) is noted as working as a " Farm Laborer " on a farm close to his parent's farm. The farm he was working on was owned by Levin Williams. Levin ( 44 ), sometime in the early 1870's, met and married " Martha Elizabeth Neal " on November 27, 1874. Martha was residing on a nearby farm that was owned by Henry Charles. Martha was born on October 31, 1852 and it is known that her mother’s name was Elizabeth. Levin ( 44 ) and " Martha " were blessed with the birth of a daughter on June 10, 1876. However sadness soon came to the young family. Martha preceded her husband in passing away at the age of 25 on September 7, 1878 and was interred in the Junior Order Cemetery, Preston, Maryland. In the 1880 census ( recorded on June 25, 1880 ) Levin ( 44 ) is noted as a widower and was working on the farm of Aunt and Uncle " Madison Williams and Annie Williams ( 22 ) " near Preston, Caroline County, Maryland which was the the farm next door to his brother Isaac's ( 41 ) farm. The next farm over from Isaac's ( 41 ) was his parent's farm and the next farm over from his parent's farm was his brother Willis' ( 48 ) farm. In the 1900 census ( recorded on June 11, 1900 ) Levin ( 44 ) is noted as owning a farm near Preston, Caroline County, Maryland. Levin ( 44 ) is noted as a widowed 61 year old farmer. Residing with him was his mother Elizabeth ( age 90 ) , his daughter Sarah E. " Sallie " Carroll ( age 23 ) , Sallie's husband Lewis " Clayton " Carroll ( age 24 ) , and their son Lloyd L. Carroll ( age 8 months ) . According to older family members Levin ( 44 ) inherited his dad John's ( 21 ) farm. He sold that farm and then purchased the one noted in the 1900 census. In the 1910 census ( recorded on April 26, 1910 ) Levin ( 44 ) was noted as being a 71 year old widowed farmer on the same farm near Preston, Caroline County, Maryland. Residing with him was his daughter Sarah E. " Sallie " Carroll ( age 34 ) , Sallie's husband Lewis " Clayton " Carroll ( age 35 ) and their " 6 " oldest children: Lloyd L. He married "Sarah "Sallie" Ann LeCompte" on March 18, 1873 in Caroline County, Md. She was born on February 3, 1850 in Dorchester County, Md. Her parent's names are currently unknown. They had three known children together. Willis (48) passed away on September 20, 1920. Sallie passed away on January 6, 1923 and was interred in the Concord Methodist Cemetery in Concord, Md. Samuel "Frank", (60) was born the 5th child and 3rd son of Samuel (11) and Britannia (Corkran) Poole in Caroline County, Md. on August 20, 1847. He was married twice. He was first married to "Elizabeth Anne Gambrill" " on January 12, 1875 in Dorchester Co., Md. She was born on September 9, 1851. She passed away on March 31, 1901 and was interred in the Zion Methodist Church Cemetery near Williamsburg in Dorchester County. They had three children together. "Frank" (60) then married "Mary E. McMahan" who was previously married to James Barnes and had three children with him. "Frank" (60) and Mary had no children together. It is unknown when she passed away or where she is interred. Sarah, (76) was born the only known child of Henry & Sarah Jane (Poole) (24) Meloney in March 1852 in Maryland. She married "Francis "Frank" Polk Covey" on August 24, 1887 in Concord, Md. She was his third wife. Frank was born the son of Andrew & Sarah Jane (White) Covey in August 1851 in Maryland. Frank passed away on October 19, 1922 in Denton, Md. and was interred in the Concord Meth Cem, Concord, Caroline Co., Md. Sarah (76) passed away on May 1, 1944 also in Denton, Md. and was also interred in the Concord Meth Cem, Concord, Caroline Co., Md. They had one known child together. Sally Emily Poole, (106) "Lewis Clayton" died on November 30, 1938 at the age of 63 of a stroke. He was interred in the Preston Cemetery, Preston. He died of a Heart Attack while living with his sister Grace (29) in Denton at the age of 80. Lloyd (25) worked as a Farmer. Merritt (26) was never married & did not have any children. He died while working in a Ship Yard in Philadelphia, Pa. of a ruptured appendix at the age of 21. Raymond (30) was also never married & did not have any children. He died of Emphysema at the age of 56 in the hospital in Easton. He worked during his lifetime as a farmer.
